How does Mission Opera work??
Mission Ópera is structured around a fictional story told in the audios included in each of the sessions.
It is structured in 5 sessions of work, of approximately 45 minutes long, with activities and support materials that offer you everything you need to take it to the classroom. In each session we propose a work sequence to achieve the objectives set.. further, We have added extra activities so that you can investigate more in depth about a specific aspect, or simply expand your classroom resources.
You can do the 5 consecutive sessions or space them over time, as is most convenient for your company/group process.
We advise you review the entire sequence of proposed activities before implementing it in class, to know each step and choose the extra activities you need.
To make the research process about the opera more attractive, we have created a fictional story in which the group immerses themselves.. To make the unit work at its best, we recommend them “play fiction” to the fullest. It has to sound like a real story!
That is why it is not advisable to project the web, nor teach students the introductory video.
Instead of that, We suggest you play that you have received some strange messages from the Teatro Real.
Listen to the audios without any projected image...and let your imagination do the rest. It is also an opportunity to get in touch with interpretation and stage play.
Keep in mind that the activities and dynamics proposed can be useful at many other moments of the course. (even for groups that do not create opera through the LÓVA project). They are very versatile dynamics of qualitative research, narration, team collaboration and design. Make them yours and use them whenever you need them!!
