In this movement and creation workshop, I will share tools from my experience as a dancer and performer. In these times of google and tiktok, What is the value of the experience of learning in a group, to dance looking into the eyes, to hear a twist of thought, to observe a body that smells, to give time to time?

A first part to wake up the bodies, the sensibility, broaden the fields of expression and gain confidence with others and with space.

A second part of the game. Before, we will share the rules to compose small improvisations, from tools that I have been using in creation processes. In parallel we will observe, when we stand in front of an audience, What are we interested in producing and how??

A closure to put into words what was lived, does it serve me?what for?.

Feet comfortable clothes and a popular song or legend that you know by heart, the one you listened to as a child, the one you dance at the parties of your town, the one with which you sleep your son.

Ismeni Espejel. body work, the imagination, the spaces, situations and people around me to tell things. I am interested in how we perceive reality and how this creative process, at the same time, transforms us or can transform us.

One of these experiments was the working group El Club, linked to the In-Presentable Festival of La Casa Encendida in Madrid. With him we played El Paso, a form of collective creation individually.

As a performer I have performed in pieces by Cuqui Jerez such as Essay, The Croquis Reloaded and the performance created in collaboration with Crocodilles and Alligators.

On stage my most recent work has been in the production Everything that happened and would happened, de Heiner Goebbels, presented in New York, Manchester and at the Ruhrtriennale 2019.

I teach movement and scenic creation workshops where I am interested in making use of the body, as an excuse to question the codes in which we are immersed, their possibilities of expression and social relationship.
Some of these projects have been “Blindly” at the Matadero Center in Madrid, “dance the neighborhood” Y “Danzonic” with primary school children at the Dos de Mayo Art Center (2016-2018), as well as NIDO for early childhood education, together with the PLANEA network, in the Republic of Chile Public School, in Madrid.
