Verbena. Ball people

Workshop and Concert.
Sonia Luchena+TWO

If there is something we wanted to convey this year, it is the desire to be together. And for this we are going to recreate a town square, a collective dance, a dance and let go.

Sonia, Pedro and Esther get back together with the intention of:

Bring balfolk closer to this wonderful group and recreate a social dance, as it could happen in a town square any Sunday.

Promote awareness of belonging to the group through movement.

Return to dance as an opportunity to meet and recognize oneself and the other.

Respect, share and coexist through the music that identifies us as a group.

FROM. this duo, formed by Esther Sánchez and Pedro Bartolomé, born in spring 2016 from the concern to know and explore traditional dance rhythms, both Central European (Ball people) as peninsular. Starting from the learning of tradition, develop a repertoire of dance songs, mostly self-composed. Las mazurkas, waltzes, chapelloises, bourrés and other european dances, they sound in concert with charros, jotas and seguidillas typical of our Spanish folklore.

The main instruments that appear on stage are the guitar and the five-string violin., but in DOS there is also room for voice, the charango and different percussions.

They have recorded two studio albums: Perpetual Mobileen 2017 and Odd Pulse on 2020.
