Flamenco dance and music

The Madrid Spanish Dance and Flamenco Choreography Event (Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y flamenco) is an exhibition and promotional
platform and a competition for new dance works. It is one of the biggest flamenco competitions internationally and the birthplace of several generations of top-level artists. The Real Teatro de Retiro, which promotes opera, music, dance and the arts in general, helps emerging artists in this field find their audience.
Winners and prize-winners at the 2024 event will have the chance to present their new works, promoting young, avant-garde performers.
