The tenor Plácido Domingo will not perform the opera Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini, scheduled for June 30th and July 3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th, as was announced.
The recent passing of his sister, to whom he was very close, prevents him from enacting his comic role that he usually delivers to the public with the intensity and dedication that he has always provided.
Instead, the role of Gianni Schicchi will be performed by the baritone Nicola Alaimo, on June 30th, July 3rd and 6th 2015, and by the baritone Lucio Gallo on the performances of July 9th and 12th 2015.
