Musical conductor: Jane Glover

The Mark Morris Dance Group (MMDG) was founded by the dancer and choreographer Mark Morris in 1980, and the company made its debut that same year in New York. Its director and creator, who worked with several companies before setting up his own troupe, has created over 130 choreographies for the MMDG. As well as a spell as dance director at the Théâtre de La Monnaie in Brussels, where he was invited by Gerard Mortier to replace Maurice Béjart precisely because of his fascinating musicality, the reason why he only performs Mozart Dances alongside the famous pianists Emanuel Ax and Yoko Nozakiy, he founded the White Oak Dance Project with Mijail Baryshnikov in 1990. He has worked for numerous companies in ballet and opera, and has received the most important awards in recognition of his dedication to the dissemination of dance.
