One of the great masterpieces of cinema history returns to the big screen as a unique experience: silent cinema with live music at the Real Teatro de Retiro. The battleship Potemkin, directed by Sergei Eisenstein in 1925, is a fundamental film of 20th-century cinema, revolutionary in its use of editing, its visual rhythm and its powerful narrative capacity.

In this special screening, the film is shown accompanied by the Raisa Group and Xisco Rojo, who will perform the music live in dialogue with the images, giving the film back the expressive strength with which it was originally conceived.

The screening offers a journey to the birth of cinematographic language where images and music are mutually constructed in real time to intensify the excitement and rhythm of the story. In this format, the legendary Odessa Steps sequence, one of the most influential and impressive ever filmed, takes on a new life before the audience.
