Muy especial

Fuensanta, la Moneta, baile
Fuensanta, La Moneta, (Granada, 1984) is one of the most powerful dancers in modern flamenco with a very personal style. Born in the Zaidín district, she trained with figures like Mario Maya and Juana Amaya. Her style mixes roots and the avantgarde, tradition and her own personal quest with intense, intuitive, emotional body language. She has directed and starred in shows like Bailar, vivir, Lo que trae el aire and Granada solo tiene salida por las estrellas, presented on stage in Europe, America and Asia. She also runs La Moneta flamenco school in her home city, where she trains new generations of artists. Boasting a consistent career but not afraid to take risks, La Moneta represents the living continuity of Granada flamenco and her presence on stage is always an affirmation of the duende flamenco spirit, freedom and authenticity.
José Fermín Fernández, guitarra
José Fermín Fernández (Granada, 1989) is one of the most outstanding flamenco guitarists of his generation. Born in Iznalloz, he grew up surrounded by flamenco and began playing the guitar when he was a child. He has won some of the biggest prizes in flamenco guitar playing, such as the Bordón Minero at Las Minas International Singing Festival (2019) and first prize at the Córdoba National Flamenco Art Competition (2016). Throughout his career he has accompanied great singers and dancers and has also performed as a brilliant soloist on stage in Spain and abroad. His sense of rhythm and versatility have made him the ideal accompanist for artists like Fuensanta, La Moneta, with whom he shares a true, deep artistic affinity.
La Platería, founded in 1949 in Granada by the silversmith Manuel Salamanca Jiménez, is considered to be the most venerable flamenco club in Spain or anywhere in the world and has been crucial in preserving and promoting pure flamenco. Begun as a meeting place for flamenco enthusiasts, it has inspired the foundation of many clubs in Spain and abroad. Great flamenco figures have performed there and its programme includes shows, recitals, conference, exhibitions and the recently created Flamenco Film Festival (2024). It also promotes educational initiatives such as “Flamenco in the classroom” and maintains a valuable historical archive and a museum. Its awards include the Faena más Jonda trophy which links flamenco with bullfighting.
