The magic of Christmas is coming to our homes.

The Christmas classic The Nutcracker, by Tchaikovsky, adapted by the África Guzmán Dance Project in cooperation with the África Guzmán ballet school: a company of young dancers forming part the professional programme who have a unique opportunity to train as versatile, multidisciplinary dancers focused on gaining professional and stage experience. 

The story, set on Christmas Eve, tells the story of Clara, a girl who is given a nutcracker as a present. That night, the toy comes to life and whisks her away to a magical world, where they confront the Mouse Queen and her army. After the battle, the Nutcracker, turned into a prince, takes Clara to the Land of Sweets, where she is welcomed with a festival of dances. The piece culminates in a dream that reflects the magic and fantasy of Christmas.
