La traviata, one of Verdi's best-known titles, takes to the stage of the Teatro Real in Willy Decker's iconic production, which could not be performed in 2020 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. A classic that comes with great artists such as Nadine Sierra, Xabier Anduaga and Adela Zaharia.

La denuncia social en La traviata
La traviata es, junto con Rigoletto, la ópera en la que de manera más evidente Giuseppe Verdi se opuso a la moral imperante de su época, criticando el conformismo, la hipocresía, la desigualdad y, muy en especial, la injusta condición de la mujer.
En esta conferencia, moderada por Valerio Rocco —director del Círculo de Bellas Artes— y protagonizada por Massimo Giuseppe Bonellise —director de la Escuela italiana de Madrid, historiador de arte y director de escena—, se tratarán los diferentes elementos de crítica social que plantea esta ópera verdiana, enmarcada en su contexto social y político.
